Dongtan police were notified in the early hours of the 16th December that a fatal road accident had occurred at the traffic light intersection of Thepprasit and Sukhumvit Roads. Officers and Sawang Boriboon went to investigate and found the body of an unknown Thai man next to a damaged Honda Wave bike which had collided into the side of a Toyota truck. According to witnesses the bike rider jumped the lights going through the red light at high speed along Sukhumvit Road, and hit the truck, killing the man instantly. The driver of the truck was taken back to the police station to make a statement and the body was sent to Banglamung hospital for further investigation to find his identity.
