During the evening of the 9th March, Police Major Aroon Promphan, Inspector of Pattaya Tourist Police, organised a visit along Walking Street with his team of officers and volunteers to talk about public safety issues, and hand out leaflets to tourists. The leaflet has the useful Tourist Police hotline contact number 1155, which was distributed to provide confidence about safety of visiting tourists to the area. This was for them to keep in case of emergencies, especially over the next few weeks with the political demonstrations in Bangkok that might affect tourism in Pattaya.
